I have just got back from my trip to York, Manchester and Liverpool. Five days in total, spent roughly about 1-2 days in each place. It is a wonderful trip! Been to a lot of places, eaten a lot of food, and done a lot of things too.
One of my interesting experiences in York is observing fudge making in a little shop. It was the smell of sweet creamy toffee attracted me to that shop.
When I walked into the shop, there was this young pretty girl with green apron stirring some liquid next to a big stove. It's just like walking back in time, looking at somebody cooking old remedy in a magical pot!
The whole process took about 45 minutes time, and I was rewarded with some freshly made toffee fudge for being such a good girl, paying full attention to the process and not making any noise.
